In traditional Chinese medicine and Taoist practice, cultivation of the three treasures - jing (essence), qi (energy), and shen (spirit) - is a central component to promoting vitality, and nourishing longevity, and deepening our spiritual practice.
During the first half of this workshop, we will explore the concepts from jing, qi, and shen and delve into practical recommendations on how to sustain each through diet and daily practices. Concepts covered will include yin and yang theory, prenatal and postnatal essence, the three dantians, and the eight extraordinary meridians. In the second half of the event, participants will experience a group acupuncture circle with a set protocol intentionally chosen to nourish your jing, boost qi, and brighten the shen.
This Nature and Intent produced event is in partnership with Andrea Penagos, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist, clinical herbalist, intuitive healer, and Reiki master. Andrea helps her patients to shift their core beliefs around wellness and guides them towards a more balanced, vibrant, peaceful way of being through the use of acupuncture, energy medicine, herbal therapies, nutritional counseling, and adjunct modalities like cupping, moxibustion, and gua sha.
Participants may choose to attend a tea ceremony after the workshop (5pm) to continue their embodied exploration of the three treasures. To learn more and RSVP, please click the link below.
